Program Manager Location: Chicago, IL. Can be Hybrid schedule of 3 in and 2 out, but this could change and be made to be 5 days onsite. Duration: 6 months CTH Job description We are searching for a Program Manager (PM) for a Straight Through Processing Program. Reporting to the App Development VP and working closely with the Small Commercial team of Product Owners you will help define and then lead the management a new program across multiple initiatives. In addition to being on the ground-floor to help define program governance, this role will perform analysis and project planning, reporting, as well as providing key coordinating functions to help the team execute across the program's multiple projects to achieve program OKRs. Success requires a business-level understanding of insurance products and processes, as well as experience in agile project execution on an enterprise scale - a combination of business implementation experience, strong communication, project management, and business analysis skills. OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE Design, implement, and maintain program initiatives in support of program OKRs Develop, track and report, program assessment protocols that measure program performance Oversee project teams, ensuring program OKRs are reached RESPONSIBILITIES Work cooperatively across regional and product stakeholder groups, Product Owners and agile teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget and timing for program initiatives. Monitor project delivery across the program, identify, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies Contribute to and drive forward solutions to problems impeding progress Connect across projects and teams to align and manage program scope, cost, schedule, quality, dependencies, and risks to meet program goals. Manage ongoing program KPIs, collect program status and brief executive sponsors and key stakeholders Own the maintenance/upkeep of project portfolio information Assist in forming program governance and in creating program governance tools and processes; drive the execution of the program accordingly and contribute to improvements Partner with program team to influence and educate stakeholders, champion agile approaches QUALIFICATIONS 3 years' experience working in insurance industry. This could be direct industry experience or possibly work serving the industry such as for a consultancy. Financial services sector experience would be considered. Bachelor's degree in business, risk management, or related discipline from an accredited University. Master's degree in business administration or related field a plus. Exceptional management skills needed to orchestrate a program across diverse stakeholders: communication, leadership, facilitation, negotiation and influencing 5 years of project and/or program management experience Professional certification (example, PMP) and Agile methodology (example, Scrum, SAFe) a plus. 2 years working in a global and complex matrixed environment Experience working on projects in one or more of these areas: digital marketing, data & analytics, API-based technology, insurance workflow systems, insurance processes Excellent organizational and project management skills, PMP preferred but not required Strong analytical skills Demonstrated integrity and dedication to effective, efficient delivery of objectives Proficient with Microsoft Excel, and Powerpoint, Teams, Visio and with documenting process flows. Working knowledge of Jira agile project management software a plus Willingness to travel and to participate in remote meetings for stakeholders in other time zones
