CertiPath is focused on bringing facility and network access management for c ommercial clients and g overnment agencies into the 21st century. What will the Product Owner do? You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where you will guide the team in developing and delivering software that simplifies solutions for a broad set of interrelated problems. Specifically, you will partner with Product Management to document roadmap features and lead a team of software developers and quality analysts in delivering reliable solutions that customers love. You will create and deploy cutting-edge solutions for commercial and government clients alike. What does a typical day look like for the Product Owner? The person in this position will do the following: Play a key role during release planning: Collaborate with the Director of Products to set the product vision. Gather feature requirements from internal and external stakeholders. Prioritize items in the product backlog based on value-over-cost analysis. Present prioritized backlog items to consider for the release. Understand, document, and plan for the critical dependencies for each epic in the release. Lead the team during development sprints: Break down epics into stories with clear acceptance criteria. Prioritize stories in the Jira backlog by using product road mapping and backlog management tools. Triage and prioritize product support tickets during developments prints. Plan and lead story refinement sessions with the team by explaining acceptance criteria and gaining consensus on level-of-effort estimates. Co-own sprint planning activities with the team by setting sprint goals. Review and approve all story and bug tickets during the sprint. Evaluate team progress toward sprint goals by monitoring the Jira board and proactively preventing bottlenecks. Co-own sprint close activities with the team by leading retrospectives. Present feature demos to stakeholders during development sprints, incorporating feedback through out the release. Direct the team during product delivery: Confirm that the release plan scope is met for each epic. Approve quality test plans and results. Create detailed user guide documentation. Assist the team in any way possible to ensure a successful delivery. What does the growth potential look like? The Product Owner role may lead to a manager role. With enough company growth, the potential is limitless What qualifications do you look for? You might be the Product Owner we’re looking for if you have: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, product management, information technology, cybersecurity, business, or equivalent experience in a related field 6 years of experience as a Product Owner Experience with Atlassian Agile products; specifically, JIRA and Confluence A successful track record of leading distributed development teams spanning multiple U.S. time zones Demonstrated experience supporting a wide array of senior technical engineers and managers Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills Excellent interpersonal talents to partner, interact, and effectively communicate with technical and business stakeholders The ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and be a change agent for the team A demonstrated ability to leverage use cases/scenarios to analyze high-level needs and relate them to requirements Demonstrated experience negotiating with customers to convert their requirements into prioritized feature deliverables on the product roadmap We’re extra impressed by folks who: Have a master's degree in computer science, product management, information technology, cybersecurity, business, or equivalent experience in a related field Are familiar with high-assurance identity management software solutions Have Agile Product Owner or other related certifications Have demonstrated experience in using technical judgment with a significant impact on program success Are well-versed, skilled, and disciplined in system engineering processes What kind of benefits does CertiPath offer?
