About the Role
Position: Product Manager Duration: 12 months Location: Minnesota (Remote work) Role Overview: The Product Manager will support the State's Product Managers by leading detailed requirements gathering and user story development for complex, regulation-driven systems. This role focuses on execution, documentation, and backlog readiness, not overall product ownership. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate requirements discussions with State staff, SMEs, and stakeholders Break down business and regulatory needs into epics, features, and user stories Ensure user stories are clear, complete, and ready for development handoff Work closely with UX, Content, and Change resources Incorporate State feedback and evolving priorities into backlog artifacts Maintain documentation to support future development teams Required Experience: Experience working in public sector or regulated environments Strong Agile / Scrum experience Experience with Salesforce or enterprise case management systems preferred Ability to work collaboratively with State-led product teams Sample Work Requirement: Must be able to demonstrate prior experience by providing anonymized examples of user stories and/or backlog artifacts developed on past client engagements Note: We are responding to a State of Minnesota , DHS for upgrading the Salesforce-based licensing system RFP . As part of this, the State is asking us to share sample work created by our resources on past projects to show the type and quality of work we usually deliver. I want to clarify upfront - we are NOT asking for any confidential or client-specific documents. What we are looking for: If possible, please share 1 2 representative examples of work you've done that shows: Requirements or user stories Process flows / diagrams / story maps Change or transition-related documents. High-level examples that reflect real work you/we have done
